Alisann's Story
My dream is one that many have, but the results are not the same. I was diagnosed with Terminal Brain Cancer - CNSLymphoma - in 2013. I refused Chemo and made a choice that I would survive. I was told I would not survive if I refused Chemo, but here I am, writing this to you in 2020.
I worked very hard to stay healthy, and I used my art to help me through the journey. After brain surgery, I was left with some deficiencies. I used my art skills - drawing and painting - to rewire my brain to heal. Many of those who love and supported me knew this was a "dream." I knew it was going to be a "Dream come True." And it did. My main inspiration during my healing was to paint dogs. I adore ALL dogs and painting them brings me joy and heals my heart as well. Here is a photo of me just after 2 years of healing with my beloved Abee who stayed by my side every minute of my healing.
Thank you for reading my story.
